This can also occur when you are using a paper length that does not facilitate the paper length of the printout.

Causes E2 Error Message HP Printer :

  • When the paper size setting is not in sync with the size of paper in the tray or the driver settings.

Step 1: First, you’ll need to cancel all of the print jobs currently in the queue.
Step 2: Now, adjust the print parameters in the printing program.
Step 3: After that, you’ll need to cancel the Print Jobs by using the Cancel button.
Step 4: You’ll need to change the print job settings menu file < Print < General Print Settings.
Step 5: You have three alternatives to pick from, such as Printer Properties, Properties or Preferences.

  • First ensure that the paper size you choose for your printing command matches with the size of paper.
  • Readjust the appearance of the document by changing the font, font size, size of images etc in the Print settings. (Before Printing)
  • Open the document properties.
  • You can also change the layout and paper settings in this window :
  1. Portrait or Landscape orientation can be adjusted in Orientation menu on the layout.
  2. Paper Tray or source can be adjusted in Features tab- Paper Quality- Paper source.
  3. Paper Type can be adjusted in Features tab- Paper Quality- Paper type.
  4. Paper size can be adjusted in Features tab- Paper Quality- Paper size.
  5. If you want to Print on both sides of the page, then this can be adjusted in Features- Layout- Print on both sides.
  • Load legal paper in the paper tray:
  1. First of all please pull the paper tray completely out.
  2. Now press the universal guide release button to slide the front of the paper tray.
  3. Ensure the paper you load on the tray sit aligned with the output paper tray cover mark.
  • Load A3 or smaller sized paper in the paper tray:
  1. In this case you don’t have to pull the paper tray completely out.
  2. Simply place the paper on the tray and ensure they are placed well and secure them by pulling up the stopper.
  3. Ensure the paper you load on the tray sit aligned with the output paper tray cover mark.
  • Now open the output paper tray and adjust the paper length.
  • Fan the paper stack to avoid any mis-feeding or paper jamming or curling of paper.
  • Place it on the tray while ensuring it lies flat on it.
  • Finally DONE!!
