How to hide Taskbar ?

Hide Taskbar provides its users with the feature to hide the taskbar in Computer during an active window and this makes it easier to utilize the entire screen. You can personalize it in many ways—change the color and size, pin your favorite apps to it, move it around on your screen, and rearrange or resize taskbar buttons. Check your battery status, minimize all open programs momentarily, lock the taskbar to keep your options, and customize your settings for search highlights, news and interests, and more.

How to hide taskbar in Windows ?

  • Right-click an empty spot and open Taskbar settings.
  • Toggle on “Automatically in desktop mode” or “Automatically in tablet mode” configuration of your PC.

OR

  • Select “Personalize” > “Settings” > “Taskbar” > “Taskbar Settings.”
  • Toggle the slider to “On” under “Automatically in Desktop Mode.”

OR

  • Toggle “Show taskbar on all displays” to On or Off.
  • Select the drop-down list to choose where the taskbar buttons will appear.

Hide the Taskbar Using Command Prompt :

  • Open the Command Prompt by typing “cmd” > “Command Prompt”.
  • Now, run this command :
    powershell -command “&{$p=’HKCU:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3′;$v=(Get-ItemProperty -Path $p).Settings;$v[8]=3;&Set-ItemProperty -Path $p -Name Settings -Value $v;&Stop-Process -f -ProcessName explorer}”
  • Run this command:
    powershell -command “&{$p=’HKCU:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3′;$v=(Get-ItemProperty -Path $p).Settings;$v[8]=2;&Set-ItemProperty -Path $p -Name Settings -Value $v;&Stop-Process -f -ProcessName explorer}”

Automatically Hide Taskbar :

  • Open Start > Settings and choose Personalization > Taskbar from the menu.
  • Expand the Taskbar behaviors section.
  • On Windows, open Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.

Why is my taskbar not hiding?

Right-click on the taskbar > settings > Automatically hide the taskbar > Enable the option.

Why is the taskbar still showing in full screen?

Press your Windows key + I together to open your settings. Click Personalization > Taskbar > “Automatically in desktop mode” and “automatically in tablet mode” > turn it on.
