Procedure 1 : Printer Power Cable Feeder
- First, unplug the canon printer power cable feeder.
- Place the print head in the center of the printer.
- Remove any object in the car to look like fluff and dirt with isopropyl alcohol.
- See the canon printer that has been changed because of the vibration.
- If it’s possible and you can get some solid air at any desktop, make a cleaning process using the air and eliminate any lint that affects the printer.
Procedure 2 : ASF / Paper Output Slot
- Turn off your canon printer.
- Remove paper from the ASF (Advanced system format).
- Gently pull the jammed paper out.
- To use both hands to take the paper out slowly from the Canon Printer if paper from the ASF is visible.
- If the paper tears and a piece of that remains inside the printer, open the scanning unit (printer cover) and remove the paper from inside the printer.
- Turn on your canon printer and confirm that the Alarm light is off.
- Load paper back into the ASF.
- Press OK to clear the message and continue printing.
Procedure 3 : Paper jams inside the printer
- Turn off your canon printer and disconnect the power cord and USB cable.

- Open the rear cover to check if the paper is jammed.
- Pull out the cassette from Canon printer and check if the paper is jammed inside the cassette area.
- Stand the printer with the rear side down, holding the document cover.
- Press the tabs together and pull the green cover.
- Close the green cover and place the printer back to a normal position.

- Move the print head carriage back and wait for few times.
- Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.
- Hit the ink pads down in the purge unit.
